The Banchetto Slab | Ironbark End-Grain Chopping Board
Bring a striking piece of functional craftsmanship into your kitchen with The Banchetto Slab. Handcrafted in Moruya, NSW, this premium end-grain chopping board is an absolute heavyweight, making it as much a magnificent statement piece for family feasts as it is an unshakeable daily kitchen workhorse.
Named after the Italian word for "banquet," The Banchetto Slab is a direct tribute to my family's Italian heritage. It honours the deeply ingrained tradition of coming together over shared food, built specifically to be the anchor when preparing those grand, celebratory meals.
Crafted from incredibly dense, salvaged Australian Ironbark, the end-grain construction is specifically designed to be gentle on your knives while resisting deep cuts and scratches. Built to handle everything from heavy meal prep to carving massive cuts of meat for a crowd, it features a deep juice groove to keep your benchtops spotless when resting roasts, heavy-duty rubber feet for rock-solid stability, and ergonomic finger slots so you can easily carry it from the counter to the dining table.
To bring out the rich natural tones and ensure it’s ready for immediate use, I hand-rub each board with a premium, food-safe blend of tung oil and beeswax polish.
Key Features:
Premium Material: Solid salvaged Australian Ironbark end-grain construction for monumental durability and knife-edge preservation.
Artisan Design: Uncompromising 50mm thick block showcasing the deep, rugged characteristics of the timber, ensuring no two boards are exactly alike.
